InMage Systems Announces EMEA Expansion
New Senior Vice President of EMEA Chuck Lucci to Spearhead Company’s Strategic Expansion into Europe
SANTA CLARA, Calif. – September 30, 2008 – InMage Systems, Inc.® (www.inmage.com) today announced its expansion into Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA). Enterprise software veteran Chuck Lucci has been appointed Senior Vice President, EMEA, and will lead all company operations in this high growth market. The EMEA region has been one of InMage’s key targets in accelerating its international expansion. In response to a rapid increase in business, InMage has opened a London office and is partnering with leading European integrators and distributors in the disaster recovery and business continuity segment. The company is establishing a sales and support infrastructure in Europe to meet local market needs and position its flagship DR-Scout software as the preferred data protection solution for small to large enterprises.
“I am thrilled to join InMage’s executive team and help drive adoption of next generation business continuity solutions in the EMEA region," said Chuck Lucci, Senior Vice President, EMEA. “As evidenced by the company’s success in the North American marketplace, customers of all sizes in all industry segments are seeking business continuity solutions that reduce cost and complexity while expanding overall IT operation capabilities. I believe InMage’s investments in Europe can and will return up to 25% of the company’s overall targets for 2009 and grow to 35% the following year."
Mr. Lucci is a visionary executive with extensive experience in enterprise storage software. Prior to joining InMage, he served as EMC’s Vice President of Worldwide Operations, Open Storage Software following the company’s acquisition of Legato Systems. During his tenure, Lucci led the group’s nine consecutive record-breaking revenue and profit quarters. Prior to EMC, he spent 15 years in sales management positions at Legato, including GM EMEA and ultimately WW VP Field Operations. As the GM EMEA, Chuck directed the company’s European activities, growing annual revenue from less than $1 million to over $135 million and managing a staff of 225 people.
