InMage Systems Presents Disaster Recovery Solutions for Virtualized Environments at VMworld 2008
LAS VEGAS, NV – VMworld 2008 – September 15, 2008 – InMage Systems (www.inmage.com) is presenting its industry-leading disaster recovery and business continuity software suite at VMworld 2008®, the leading virtualization event for IT professionals. Over 14,000 attendees are expected at the Venetian Hotel in Las Vegas to discover the next generation of virtualization technologies, including InMage’s DR-Scout for Server Virtualization software. DR-Scout provides bulletproof protection for enterprise business continuity, data migration, and centralized backup and server consolidation operations. The InMage exhibit is located at booth #1407.
“VMware’s virtualization technologies give businesses the ability to do more with less by enabling data and applications to be consolidated into a shared infrastructure," said Tom Urban, director of marketing, InMage Systems. “This strategy exponentially increases the value of the servers, presenting an urgent need for maximum data protection and uptime. Over 80% of our customers, including financial and educational institutions, healthcare companies and government agencies, leverage DR-Scout within their virtualized environments, finding it a highly effective solution for protection against almost any outage, ranging from a failed power supply to a complex regional disaster."
DR-Scout for Server Virtualization allows for a virtualized source, target or both, enabling customers to protect physical servers as well as use a virtualized server as the replication target. The result is a very high level of application protection and availability at a much lower total cost of ownership. DR-Scout can replicate over any existing IP networks to a remote site, eliminating additional infrastructure costs. Higher or lower network usage limits can be scheduled to conform to business requirements.
DR-Scout supports VMware’s ESX and GSX server technology and offers comprehensive protection for Exchange, SAN, NAS and more. It integrates with existing backup solutions without impacting production servers, so replicated data can be used to perform remote backups and snapshots at any time. There is no platform vendor lock-in, so best-of-breed hardware and software can be leveraged to support an organization’s needs.
