InMage Systems Named Cool Vendor by Leading Analyst Firm
Vendors selected for the “Cool Vendor report" are innovative, impactful and intriguing
SANTA CLARA, Calif. –- April 29, 2008 – InMage Systems®, Inc. (www.inmage.net) has been included in the list of "Cool Vendors" in the Cool Vendors in Data Protection 2008 report by Gartner, Inc. The report was published March 20 and authored by Gartner analysts Dave Russell and John P. Morency.
InMage Systems was listed in the Gartner Report, which covered five innovative, impactful and intriguing vendors in data protection. According to the Gartner, Inc. Cool Vendors in Data Protection 2008 report, “In recent years, some of the most interesting innovations in backup/recovery have come from smaller vendors at the periphery, and not from larger vendors at the core. The giant vendors may consume the new vendors, but it is also possible that, during the next three to five years, some emerging vendors may survive and thrive in their own right, and make a minor, but meaningful, impact on the storage landscape."
“We are very proud to be included in a Gartner research report covering innovative and impactful data protection vendors," said John Ferraro, CEO, InMage Systems. “DR-Scout provides organizations with a heterogeneous and simplified set of data recovery capabilities for a broad set of mission-critical applications and data recovery requirements. Our customers can testify to the measurable results DR-Scout provides in terms of costs, labor capital, system performance and overall productivity. Then there is the invaluable peace of mind that comes with knowing their data is protected under virtually all circumstances."
About Gartner's Cool Vendors Selection Process
Gartner's listing does not constitute an exhaustive list of vendors in any given technology area, but rather is designed to highlight interesting, new and innovative vendors, products and services. Gartner disclaims all warranties, expressed or implied, with respect to this research, including any warranties of merchantability or fitness of a particular purpose.
Gartner defines a cool vendor as a company that offers technologies or solutions that are: Innovative, enable users to do things they couldn't do before; Impactful, have, or will have, business impact (not just technology for the sake of technology); Intriguing, have caught Gartner's interest or curiosity in approximately the past six months.
