InMage Chairman Kumar Malavalli To Present Proactive Data Protection At 2007 Storage Networking World
Santa Clara, CA - October 15, 2008 – InMage Systems, Inc.®, the leading provider of business continuity and disaster recovery software, today announced that Kumar Malavalli, the chairman and chief strategy officer of InMage Systems and founder of Brocade, has been selected to discuss how to proactively protect businesses by taking a comprehensive approach to business continuity and disaster recovery. He will present on October 18th at 8:30 a.m. CST, at Storage Networking World, held at the Gaylord Texan Resort Hotel and Convention Center in Dallas, Texas.
“Business protection has moved beyond data backup and hardware failover. Today’s solutions have to provide the flexibility to roll back to any point in time, be integrated with mission critical applications, and integrate into local and remote strategies simultaneously. At the same time, they have to adapt into existing environments without business interruption." said Kumar Malavalli, chairman and chief visionary officer of InMage Systems. “I am pleased to meet the SNW audience, who come to learn about new approaches to business issues and find new ways to protect their business without straining IT resources."
InMage will be demonstrating DR-Scout; the only block-level, CDP-based software solution that delivers scalable, business continuity and disaster recovery for any business data. DR-Scout is unique as the only product on the market to deliver consistent, fine-grained event recovery, failover, and failback to any location, at any time, within any storage environment. This ability to go back to business events allows unprecedented protection for any business. By using a light-weight replication agent on the application server and then sending the data to an out-of-band system, DR-Scout avoids traditional performance problems while providing superior data recovery capabilities.
“In my view, InMage gets what is important to IT in this new, impatient and increasingly volatile world we live in. Data, or more importantly, application recovery requires completely new ways of thinking about the traditional problem. So far the innovation from the company is impressive indeed. No wonder they are getting traction in the marketplace." said Arun Taneja from the Taneja Group.
