InMage Systems Appoints Bob Sandie Executive Vice President, Corporate Development
Santa Clara, CA, October 29, 2007 -- InMage Systems, Inc., the leading provider of business continuity and disaster recovery software for medium and large enterprises, today announced the appointment of Bob Sandie as Executive Vice President, Corporate Development. Sandie’s responsibilities will include the continued development of InMage’s already established strategic relationships with industry leaders in addition to facilitating the expansion of the company's overall corporate development initiatives and market leadership position.
“Bob’s well proven track record of building strong, strategic relationships with tier 1 companies combined with his demonstrated ability to create effective corporate development initiatives make him the ideal person to guide our growth into these areas," said John Ferraro, president and CEO of InMage Systems. “His keen insight and knowledge of our markets will add value to our collective culture and core competencies. His unique ability to identify and build strong, ongoing relationships with key corporate leaders makes him the ideal person to help take our company to the next stage of growth."
"InMage's unique approach to Data Protection and Disaster Recovery is the best I've seen - and I've seen a lot of technology through my years in the industry," Sandie said. “I'm pleased to bring my experience and knowledge to InMage and look forward to great success in the Partner, OEM and Channel markets."
Sandie has held executive level positions in the software industry for 15 years. Prior to joining InMage Systems, Sandie was Executive Vice President for Worldwide Operations at Solidcore Systems. In this position, he helped build the company to an industry leader in IT change control and governance. He also served as Vice President of global alliances at IONA Technologies, where he lead the business development team in securing major agreements with industry luminaries like HP, IBM and Intel. Prior to IONA, Sandie built and managed the business development and alliances team at WebMethods, creating OEM relationships with SAP, i2, Oracle, Ariba and Siebel, as well as managed system integration partnerships with EDS, Accenture, IBM, PWC and KPMG among many others.
“InMage Systems is making significant inroads into the disaster recovery and business continuance markets," Sandie said. “I am excited to contribute to the company’s goals and further expand its reach into the U.S. and European markets. I look forward to leveraging my many years of business development experience to help the company drive growth and to establish InMage as the de-facto standard for disaster recovery and continuous data protection."
