InMage Systems and iStor Networks Announce Strategic Partnership at VMworld 2007

Combination of iStor’s iS325 Storage System and InMage’s DR-Scout Continuous Data Protection Software Creates Compelling Storage Offering for Resellers and OEMs

SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. – VMworld 2007 - September 10, 2007 – InMage Systems, Inc.®, the leading provider of business continuity and disaster recovery software for medium and large enterprises, today announced they have entered into a strategic partnership with iStor Networks, Inc.®, a leader in high performance iSCSI networked storage solutions, to provide a complete storage offering to channel resellers and OEMs. Under the terms of the agreement, iStor will bundle a lite version of InMage’s DR-Scout disaster recovery (DR) and continuous data protection (CDP) software solution with all shipments of its iS325 storage systems.

The combined solution will debut at VMworld 2007, the world’s largest virtualization industry event, in the InMage booth, #226.

The iS325 midrange storage array is a powerful foundation for an IP storage area network (SAN) solution, leveraging the speed of iStor’s flagship GigaStorATXcontroller for block-based applications such as disk-to-disk backup and near line storage. Key features include flexible configuration with 4 or 8 port GbE and/or 1 port of 10GbE performance, support for up to 15 high capacity serial ATA drives, and the ability to create multiple simultaneous RAID volumes.

The DR-Scout suite is the only CDP-based storage software solution that provides scalable, cost-effective protection for both file and block-level data. DR-Scout is built for both medium and large enterprises, scaling to cover all the production servers, applications, platforms and storage systems. DR-Scout CX is unique as the only product on the market to deliver consistent, fine-grained event recovery at any location, at any time, within any storage environment. This ability to go back to a business event allows unprecedented compliance with regulatory requirements. By using a light-weight volume replication agent on the application server and then sending the data to an out-of-band network-based appliance that does all the heavy lifting such as compression, encryption and management, DR-Scout avoids traditional performance problems while providing superior data recovery capabilities.
