InMage Systems Announces CDP-Based Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity Software for Linux
San Francisco, CA, August 15, 2007 -- InMage Systems, Inc., the leading provider of business continuity and disaster recovery software for medium and large enterprises, today announced the release of their Linux VX Client for DR-Scout software which provides true block-level Continuous Data Protection.
“With the rapid adoption of Linux in a variety of markets, the need for continuous business protection becomes even more critical" said John Ferraro, president and CEO of InMage Systems. “InMage’s DR-Scout allows companies using Linux to start with a very basic configuration and scale upward to the most complex of installations. Since InMage’s software integrates with existing storage and supports heterogeneous environments, companies often find DR-Scout to be more cost effective than maintaining their existing solution."
Some key features with the Linux release of DR-Scout include:
- ‘True’ Block-level CDP for Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery
- Support for RedHat Enterprise Linux 4, 5, SuSe Enterprise Linux, 9, 10
- Application integration with database servers including MySQL and Oracle, and other enterprise Linux applications to provide ‘near-zero’ application failover
“InMage Systems has taken a different approach to disk-based solutions focusing on proactive, pain-free recovery" said Tom Urban, Director of Marketing for InMage. “CDP is the engine that drives the solution – but it is the included features such as Application-Consistent Failover, One to Many Replication, Simple Failover/Failback, Event Based Recovery, and Ease-of-Implementation that have accelerated the adoption of DR-Scout. We anticipate the same embrace of our solution in the Linux community that we have seen in other environments."
