InMage Systems Announces Series B Funding Round
Santa Clara, July 9, 2007 -- InMage Systems, Inc., the leading provider of business continuity and disaster recovery CDP software for medium and large enterprises, announced today that it has raised $10 million in Series B funding. The round was led by a Strategic Corporate Partner, Hummer Winblad Venture Partners, and Kumar Malavalli, InMage Chairman and Chief Strategy Officer.
"The continued support of our previous investors, combined with the addition of a new strategic partner in this round, validates InMage as the leader in continuous data protection software sector" said John Ferraro, president and CEO of InMage. “Our momentum is a direct result of the increased market demand for our technology which has a unique value proposition." We’re seeing accelerated sales traction for DR-Scout from a cross section of vertical markets. We anticipate an even faster adoption by medium to large enterprises as more people recognize the simple yet comprehensive solution we deliver."
The development comes on the heels of InMage’s expansion to over 100 direct customers, as well as multiple OEM/Strategic partners. "Achieving a second round of funding and a 100-customer milestone demonstrates InMage's increased momentum and success," said Lauren Whitehouse, analyst at Enterprise Strategy Group. "The combination of real-time replication and continuous data protection in InMage's DR-Scout solution delivers enterprise-class disaster recovery for mid-market organizations."
