InMage Named a 2009 Tech Innovator by Everything Channel’s CRN
SANTA CLARA, Calif. - November 24,2009 – InMage® (www.inmage.com), the leading independent software vendor of disk-based, business application recovery solutions for disaster recovery, today announced it was named a 2009 Tech Innovator by Everything Channel’s CRN for its flagship InMage product in the Business Software Enterprise category. Everything Channel’s Tech Innovator listing celebrates technology vendors that have introduced new solutions that drive advances throughout the technology channel.
InMage addresses both local (backup) and remote (disaster recovery) recovery requirements with a single platform, and distinguishes itself from other data recovery products in that it recovers both applications and data. Its combination of technologies such as continuous data protection (CDP), heterogeneous asynchronous replication, application failover/failback and WAN optimization, into a single solution results in elimination of backup impacts on production environments, minimizing data loss on recovery, shortening recovery times, improving recovery reliability, and supporting long distance DR configurations that can recover to the most recent data states literally within minutes.
“It is truly an honor to receive Everything Channel’s Tech Innovator designation,” said Chris Stack, Director of North American Channel Sales for InMage. “This program is the means by which channel partners assess the technical innovation and development efforts of vendors. The fact that InMage earned the highest marks in its category tells me we’ve achieved our goal of providing channel partners with a software product that differentiates and increases the value of their portfolios. To address the recovery capabilities InMage provides, partners have historically needed to sell three different products - backup software, replication software and application failover software. InMage integrates all three of those capabilities into a single solution.”
“Innovation has been a critical, driving force behind growth and expansion of the IT industry since its inception and that innovation continues to this day. As a result of the steady, hard and often unheralded work in the R&D labs throughout the industry, technology, cultural and business leadership happens every day,” said Robert C. DeMarzo, senior vice president and editorial director, Everything Channel. “Congratulations to this year’s innovators. We applaud you on your success.”
The Tech Innovators were nominated by their individual companies and final selections were made by the editors of CRN. In order to participate, products were required to have been introduced (as a new product or significant upgrade) after August 1, 2008 and all products were required to be shipping in volume by July 30, 2009. Products were also required to be sold via commercial or retail channels.
Winners will be announced in the December 14 issue of CRN. To read about the CRN Tech Innovators, go to www.channelweb.com.
