Storage Networking World Names InMage Customer as a Finalist for "Best Practices in Storage" Awards Program
Howard Rice Nemerovski Canady Falk & Rabkin Recognized by Storage Networking World for Excellence in Storage Technology
SANTA CLARA, Calif. – October 9, 2008 – InMage Systems® (www.inmage.com) www.inmage.comtoday announced that its customer, the international law firm of Howard Rice Nemerovski Canady Falk & Rabkin, has been selected by Storage Networking World as a finalist for the Fall 2008 “Best Practices in Storage" Awards Program. The awards program identifies and acknowledges excellence among users of storage IT solutions and approaches. The top finalist in each category will be announced and recognized at Storage Networking World during the SNW Gala Dinner and Awards Ceremony on Wednesday, October 15.
Howard Rice was selected as a finalist in the “Storage Reliability and Data Recovery" category based on a case study that profiled the company, its IT department and storage challenges, as well as application deployment details, summaries of the key technology used, and measurable solution outcomes. The firm implemented InMage Systems’ flagship DR-Scout disaster recovery and business continuity software to improve business system performance and productivity, gain real-time data replication capabilities, and reduce the total cost of ownership (TCO) of its backup strategy.
“The most important benefit of DR-Scout has been reduced TCO," says Matthew Reynolds, Chief Information Officer at Howard Rice. “We lowered our physical media and software licensing costs, reduced our labor capital dedicated to managing backup tapes by 30 percent, and gained significant performance increases for Microsoft Exchange and other critical business systems. When you consider the IT cost on a per attorney basis, we’ve definitely been able to streamline our overall costs with a single source vendor."
“Data and storage networking initiatives are one of the most important pillars of the IT infrastructure," said Ron Milton, executive vice president of Computerworld. “The organizations and professionals judged to be Finalists in Storage Networking World’s Fall 2008 ‘Best Practices in Storage’ Awards Program have unlocked the true value of network storage and its strategic importance to their businesses."
