InMage Scout is a comprehensive data protection and recovery solution that enables you to protect and recover applications and data running on the IBM AIX operating system like never before. Scout offers a highly scalable deployment architecture that can scale up to protecting hundreds of servers.
Scout supports the protection and recovery of AIX servers both locally and remotely at the same time, solving the problem of having to use multiple software solutions to enable local backup and remote disaster recovery. Key features include:

Architecture

Using lightweight data taps, changes are collected continuously from protected servers, which are then WAN optimized by the Scout server, the optimized changes are then protected locally or replicated remotely. Data can be protected to multiple sites (local, remote or more) simultaneously with near zero data loss. Unlike Storage Replication, Scout can replicate directly to the failover servers and has built in support for automatically failing over applications when a Disaster is declared. This ensures that end to end recovery of applications is automated and can happen in a few minutes meeting the most stringent of RTO requirements.
