SAP Data Protection
Many leading organizations are using SAP as their strategic business foundation for enterprise resource planning (ERP). For these organizations, SAP is often the life-blood of the business and continuous availability is a necessity. Even the smallest of disruptions or outages can have a major impact. The sustained rapid growth of SAP users and corresponding data has only heightened the need to adequately protect and provide data protection for SAP related resources. For those organizations operating in an SAP Windows or SAP Linux with Oracle environments, InMage Scout delivers Continuous SAP Data Protection, eliminating costly SAP outages and the potential for data corruption and data loss.
Scout delivers non-disruptive Continuous SAP Data Protection and SAP replication in a single solution for both continuous local backup and disaster recovery. This means that the back-end databases behind SAP are continuously protected and recoverable in the event of a failure. On an automated basis, your organization can failover SAP to a local or remote target recovery point in the event of a business disruption or disaster. With Scout, application and data consistency is guaranteed across multiple SAP application servers and databases running Oracle, or SQL. This ensures that valuable SAP data is not lost and that SAP remains available at all times.
InMage has raised the bar in enabling not just point in time restoration but also event-based restorations. Scout allows organizations to tag "event" bookmarks and use them for fast recovery and failover point selection. For example, organizations could recover data back to an event such as the "last quarterly report." Unlike other vendors who simply time-stamp each block to enable restoration to a given point of time, InMage SAP data protection solutions actually understands the application state allowing for application consistent restorations.
