SQL Business Continuity
Businesses today rely on enterprise applications such as SAP, PeopleSoft, Siebel, Oracle and Microsoft SQL to provide day-to-day business operations. One thing all these applications have in common is a database back-end that is the core of the application. Database environments must be protected at all times, in order to ensure application availability and recovery in the event of a failure, but it’s hasn’t always been an easy task, especially when databases span multiple volumes, and transactions are complex.
InMage understands database applications - especially when multiple databases and volumes are involved. Our Scout solution provides continuous data protection and business continuity for databases such as SQL, ensuring full recoverability in the event of a failure. Whether an interruption is caused by hardware failure, data corruption, environmental failure or some other factor, with Scout the database is protected in an InMage-enabled remote repository. This ensures business continuity while reducing costs and improving operational efficiency.
Scout provides comprehensive yet very cost-effective replication, disaster recovery, continuous data and application backup, along with the ability to failback to a business event. If the database becomes corrupted, Scout can retrieve the data in a manner that is consistent and meaningful to the application. If an individual file or log is lost or deleted Scout retrieves it, while Scout leverages Volume Shadowcopy Services to provide application data consistency.
